Drudge: GOP deserves to lose Georgia seat for attacking Trump
Conservative media personality Matt Drudge blasted Republican lawmakers on Friday for ongoing congressional investigations into Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election, saying their lack of support for President Trump should cost their party a victory in Georgia’s special House election.
“Don’t Republicans deserve to lose GA race next week?” Drudge asked on Twitter.
Don’t Republicans deserve to lose GA race next week? Done so little to help new president; have spent most of time investigating him! BURN

{mosads}Drudge’s tweet comes just four days before voters in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District go to the polls. Republican Karen Handel is facing off against Democrat Jon Ossoff in what has become the most expensive House race in U.S. history.
The race has grown increasingly tight, as Republicans vie to keep the seat previously held by Rep. Tom Price, who became Trump’s secretary of Health and Human Services.
The special election is widely seen as an early referendum on Trump. While the 6th District has typically been considered Republican territory, Democrats have sought to capitalize on Trump’s dwindling approval ratings to turn out voters in the district.
