Conservatives launch anti-Sotomayor website

Conservative activists have launched a website opposing Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation–aboutsoniasotomayor.com.

Run by the Judicial Confirmation Network, the site prominently features the now-infamous video of Sotomayor claiming that appellate courts are “where policy is made.” (JCN is calling on the White House to feature the video on its website, too.)

“President Obama has nominated a liberal judicial activist who has already publicly stated she intends to judge cases based on her PERSONAL feelings, not the law,” reads a statement at the top of the site. Liberals are pointing out that Sam Alito made his own statements about personal experience and the law at his confirmation hearing.

As of now the site doesn’t appear to contain much new information, but look for it to become a clearinghouse for the conservative opposition.
