Correspondents’ Dinner light on Republicans

The first White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in the age of Obama was light on Republican officials, having been far outnumbered by Democrats.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, RNC Chairman Michael Steele, and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) were all spotted in attendance, and Variety reported that former Defense Decretary Donald Rumsfeld was there.

Far more Democratic lawmakers were spotted in attendance, including Govs. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Ed Rendell (D-Pa.), with whom we snagged some videos.
