For one night only, the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team will honor our next president by playing as the “Baracklyn Cyclones.”
When the team faces the Hudson Valley Renegades on June 23, Cyclones fans will be treated to a slew of Obama-themed gimmicks and giveaways. The team will play in special red, white and blue “Baracklyn” jerseys. The first 2,500 fans will each get an Obama bobblehead doll. And ticket prices will be reduced as part of a Cyclones economic stimulus package.
The Cyclones, a farm team for the storied New York Mets, already play in Obama-friendly territory; the borough of Brooklyn voted for Obama over Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) by a five-to-one margin.
