Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara invoked the classic sitcom “The Brady Bunch” after President Trump lamented coverage of the Russia investigation, comparing Trump’s “Russia, Russia, Russia” comment to Jan Brady’s famous “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia” line.
“Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! The President of the United States is Jan Brady,” Bharara tweeted in response to Trump’s tweet earlier on Sunday.
Bharara was referring to one of the show’s most famous lines, which was spoken by the character Jan Brady while complaining about receiving less attention than her older sister Marcia.
{mosads}Trump in his tweet blasted media coverage of the federal and congressional probes into Russia’s election meddling and alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
“Since the first day I took office, all you hear is the phony Democrat excuse for losing the election, Russia, Russia, Russia. Despite this I have the economy booming and have possibly done more than any 10 month President. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted.
Bharara, who was appointed by the Obama administration, has been one of the Trump administration’s most vocal critics since he was fired in March for refusing to resign.
