Nearly two-thirds of U.S. voters do not believe that President Trump shares their values, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll out Wednesday.
According to the survey, 65 percent of respondents say that they do not see Trump as someone who shares their values. That compares with just 32 percent who say he does.
The poll shows a sharp contrast between respondents who identify as Democrats and those who consider themselves Republicans. Seventy-six percent of GOP respondents believe that Trump shares their values, while 94 percent of Democrats do not.

Independents were more evenly split, though more than two-thirds — 68 percent — said that they don’t see Trump as someone who shares their values.
The Quinnipiac survey also showed differences among respondents from various age groups, though those differences were less pronounced than the split between Republicans and Democrats.
Among respondents between the ages of 18 and 34, 75 percent said that Trump does not share their values. That number is similar to the 72 percent of respondents ages 35 through 49 who said the same.
Among respondents aged 50 to 64, 61 percent do not believe Trump shares their values. Fifty-six percent of respondents 65 and older believed the same.
The Quinnipiac poll surveyed 1,106 voters nationwide from Jan. 5 to 9. The survey has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.
