2012 Watch: Romney keeping ‘door open’

Mitt Romney is “keeping the door open” for another Presidential bid, but “just not walking through it” yet, the former Massachusetts governor said Tuesday.

Campaigning for Sen. Bob Bennett (R-UT) in Salt Lake City, Romney told reporters that “it’s too early to say” if he’ll run for the White House again.

Romney did say, however, that he does not expect his Mormon faith to be a factor if he launches another campaign for the White House.

“I believe that religion will not be a factor of a significant nature in selecting our nominee, regardless of who might run,” Romney told the Deseret News. “In my own case, I won evangelical votes in Michigan, in places like Florida
