Airbnb is launching a new ad calling for the United States to “open doors, not build walls.”
“We heard there’s been some expletive-filled interest in these beautiful destinations,” text reads in the beginning of the ad.
It then shows scenes from Haiti, El Salvador and Africa.

“We also know a few people who would love to show you around,” the ad says.
“Let’s open doors, not build walls.”
At the end of the ad, text reads: “#weaccept.”
The ad comes after reports that President Trump during a White House meeting earlier this month referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “shithole countries.”
Trump faced widespread backlash and accusations of racism over the reported comments.
Congress’s lone Haitian-American, Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) said in a statement at the time that Trump’s remarks were “unkind, divisive, elitist and fly in the face of our nation’s values.”
“My parents came from one of those countries but proudly took an oath of allegiance to the United States and took on the responsibility of everything that being a citizen comes with,” Love added.
Trump has pushed back against the reports he made those comments and denied he is racist.
