Flake resolution picks up 2 more Dems

Rep. Jeff Flake’s (R-AZ) seventh attempt to initiate an ethics investigation into the now defunct PMA Group has scraped off two more Democrats, bringing the total to 27. (I’ll update with the new defectors when the roll call vote is posted.)

Though the House tabled the resolution–again–it has slowly picked up more support since Flake first introduced it in February. As Susan Crabtree reported yesterday, moderate and conservative Democrats have become increasingly worried with the potential fallout from the firm’s collapse and are eager for the Democratic leadership to somehow get the issue off the table.

UPDATE: The two new Democrats voting with Flake are Rep. Jim Matheson (D-UT) and Rep. Travis Childers (D-MS). Both had voted to table the resolution when it last came up for a vote two days ago.
