Poll: Catholics more liberal than others

A new Gallup poll has some interesting findings about the political inclinations of U.S. Catholics. On hot-button social issues like abortion and stem-cell research, there is “almost no difference between rank-and-file American Catholics and American non-Catholics,” the poll found.

And on a number of other social issues, including homosexuality, divorce and the death penalty, U.S. Catholics are more liberal than their non-Catholic counterparts.
