Stormy Daniels’s lawyer walked back his earlier statement that the adult-film star would consider a settlement against President Trump, saying that no amount of money could cover up the truth of their alleged affair.

Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, appeared on CNN’s “New Day” on Friday and shot down any potential settlement.

“If President Trump today called you and said ‘You’ve been a thorn in my side, this is annoying to me, I have bigger business that I’d like to move on to, how much do you want? I’ll write you a check?’” CNN host Alisyn Camerota asked.

“I don’t think there’s a number,” Avenatti responded. “That’s not what this is about.”

There’s no number that would make Avenatti and his client “go away,” he said.

“No amount of money,” Avenatti said. “We’re going to get to the bottom of this, my client is committed to it. I’m committed to it. This really isn’t about the money.”

When Camerota asked if an apology from Trump would change his mind, Avenatti said it wouldn’t so long as Trump continued to hide the truth.

“No, it’s unacceptable,” he said.

Avenatti said on Wednesday that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, would consider a settlement.

She has been fighting a nondisclosure agreement she made with Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen in the days before the 2016 election.

She was paid $130,000 to keep quiet about the details of an affair she said she had with Trump 10 years ago.

Daniels, 39, and her lawyer are arguing in a lawsuit that the agreement is not legally binding because Trump never signed the document.

She also amended the original lawsuit to include Cohen this week for defamation.

A federal judge in California temporarily blocked Avenatti’s effort to depose Trump and Cohen on Thursday.

Avenatti has been making several media appearances in recent weeks, claiming that Trump is “scared” of Daniels and that they have embarrassing information to use against the president.
