Trump Jr. attacks YouTube, PETA after shooting
Donald Trump Jr. went after People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and YouTube early Wednesday morning following a shooting at YouTube’s California headquarters.
The president’s son took to Twitter after news broke that the suspected shooter who opened fired at the YouTube offices on Tuesday was an animal rights activist.

“You think there’s any chance whatsoever that a mass shooters hateful Instagram and YouTube channels would be pulled immediately if they were NRA members as opposed to liberal Vegan PETA activists?” Trump Jr. tweeted. “Asking for a few million friends in the @NRA.”

The family of the accused shooter, Nasim Aghdam, said she had a longstanding grudge against YouTube for removing her videos.
Her father, Ismail Aghdam, said she “hated” the company because YouTube reportedly removed or demonetized her videos.
Their policy only allows certain types of videos to make money off of advertisements.
Trump Jr. tweeted multiple times about the shooting in defense of the National Rifle Association (NRA) which has been battling student activists recently after a February shooting in a Florida high school left 17 dead.
He responded to a tweet wondering if the left would try to find a way to blame the YouTube shooting on “right-wing gun nuts.”
They will find a way. Just wait. https://t.co/NjQ9j9E1mj

So you’re saying not likely an @NRA member??? https://t.co/UqKUBb93pA

Trump Jr. also said that CNN, a frequent target of his father, wouldn’t cover the political leanings of the shooter and would focus on covering special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation instead.
Yup I look forward to the whole PETA has more mass shooters than the NRA conversations. I’m sure they will cover that… right? https://t.co/2taoidxApp

The business mogul also retweeted from right-wing accounts saying the mainstream media would bury Aghdam’s involvement with PETA.
So the San Bruno YouTube HQ shooter was Female, foreign, a Vegan animal activist, off the rails mentally ill, didn’t use an AR-15, and shot up a building in the strictest gun control state in America….how fast do you think the mainstream media is going to bury this? pic.twitter.com/oHnkSiolGv

The YouTube shooter was a @peta activist.
PETA IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION!

(That’s how this works now, right?)

Four people were injured after the shooting in San Bruno, Calif., on Monday. The woman police believe is Aghdam died of a “self-inflicted” wound.
A trauma surgeon who helped treat victims of the shooting called for an end to gun violence after “a terrible day. In the United States.”
President Trump tweeted on Tuesday that his “thoughts and prayers” were with those involved.
Was just briefed on the shooting at YouTube’s HQ in San Bruno, California. Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody involved. Thank you to our phenomenal Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders that are currently on the scene.
