Social media mocks Trump for misidentifying former DNC chairwoman

Social media mocked President Trump for misidentifying the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in a tweet attacking her on Friday.

Trump referred to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) as “Wendy” in a tweet criticizing the lawsuit filed by Democrats against the Trump campaign, Russian government and WikiLeaks.

“Just heard the Campaign was sued by the Obstructionist Democrats. This can be good news in that we will now counter for the DNC Server that they refused to give to the FBI, the Wendy Wasserman Schultz Servers and Documents held by the Pakistani mystery man and Clinton Emails,” Trump tweeted.

{mosads} The multimillion-dollar lawsuit alleges the defendants conspired to disrupt the 2016 presidential election and undermine Hillary Clinton’s campaign by hacking the DNC’s servers and releasing the stolen information.

Trump later deleted the tweet and corrected her name, but not before social media users poked fun at the mistake.

“It’s been almost half an hour?” Ashley Feinberg, a reporter with the Huffington Post tweeted. “There’s no way at least one person physically near him hasn’t seen this yet.”
