Billboard warning ‘liberals’ over Trump impeachment efforts to come down

A billboard in Calvert County, Maryland, warning liberals to “get your guns” over efforts to impeach President Trump will be removed, WTOP reported Wednesday.

“Hey liberals, better get your guns if you try to impeach President Trump. From all of your deplorables in Calvert County,” the billboard reads.

Calvert County Sheriff Mike Evans told WTOP that the billboard did not violate any laws, but that the county had received complaints about it. He said that it will likely come down on Thursday.

After Evans discussed the complains with him, Evans said the man who put up the billboard told him he would remove it.

“Some people are quite upset, and maybe you should change your message or think about taking it down,” Evans told WTOP of his conversation with the man.

The sheriff said he did not ask the man to take it down.

“I just expressed the opinion of some people in the county, and that was his choice,” he added.

Evans, who is running for re-election, also told the outlet that he plans to use the billboard to promote his own campaign.
