NRATV host Dan Bongino touted the NFL’s new national anthem policy on Thursday, declaring it a victory for conservatives.

The policy, approved Wednesday, will require on-field players to stand during the national anthem and fine those who choose to kneel.

“Libs are crying everywhere. Snowflakes are melting down. They’re headed to their cry rooms,” Bongino said. “‘What do you mean we can’t kneel and disrespect the national anthem and our veterans and American warriors who fight for this country everyday? What do you mean we can’t do that?'”

“We win, you lose,” he continued. “Sorry, snowflakes. Go kneel on your own time.”

Bongino went on, “We need a Nelson Muntz cut,” referencing the school bully on the animated sitcom, “The Simpsons,” who is famous for his mocking laugh, before impersonating the cartoon’s laugh.

Bongino’s comments come a day after NFL officials announced a new policy punishing teams whose players kneel on the sidelines during the national anthem. The policy also gives players the option to remain in their locker rooms during the anthem.

A number of NFL players have criticized the league’s decision, saying it deprives them of their right to express themselves freely. The NFL Players Association, the group that negotiates players’ salaries, has said that it will review the new policy and “challenge any aspect of it that is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement.”

The policy came after a number of players took part in on-field protests, kneeling during the anthem to demonstrate against racial injustice and police brutality toward people of color.

Those protests, which started in 2016 with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, sparked backlash from conservatives and President Trump.

Some have speculated that the NFL’s decision this week to enact the policy stemmed from Trump’s suggestion at a rally in September that team owners and coaches fire players who take part in the protests.
