Televangelist asks followers to fund his $54 million private jet
A Louisiana televangelist is asking his followers to fund a $54 million private jet — his fourth plane — so he can preach the gospel all around the world without having to stop for fuel.
Jesse Duplantis appealed to his followers last week during a video segment called “This Week With Jesse.”
He says he needs the funds for the newest ministry plane because he used up his previous three jets by “burning them up for the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Duplantis said God spoke to him and told him to get a Falcon 7X so he can reach more people around the world.
“He said, ‘Jesse, you wanna come up where I’m at?’ ” according to Duplantis. “And I said, ‘What do you mean?’ ”
“He said, ‘I want you to believe in me for a Falcon 7X,’ ” Duplantis claimed.
When he thought of how he would pay for it, Duplantis said he recalled something he said God had told him back in 1978.
” ‘Jesse, I didn’t ask you to pay for it, I asked to believe for it,’ ” Duplantis added.
Duplantis already has three planes, which he showcases in the video.

“We believe in God for a brand new Falcon 7X so we can go anywhere in the world, one stop,” Duplantis said last week.
He can fly around the world on his current jet, but he can’t do it without stopping to refuel.
“And if I can do it one stop, I can fly it for a lot cheaper, because I have my own fuel farm. And that’s what’s been a blessing of the Lord,” Duplantis said.
If Jesus was physically on Earth today, “he wouldn’t be riding a donkey,” the televangelist said.
There are only around 270 Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft flying around the world today, according to the company’s website.
The luxury jet is advertised as the first business plan to use fighter jet technology “with an elegant, whisper-quiet executive cabin.”
According to The Washington Post, the additional jet would make the ministry’s fleet the same size as President Trump’s.
