Conservative commentator Anne Coulter weighed in on President Trump’s feud with former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, lashing out at the president for hiring the former reality star.
During an interview on The Howie Carr Show, Coulter suggested to Trump that he should try “hiring smart people” who aren’t “from The Apprentice [or] his kids.”
“On one hand, [Trump] could hire people who are smart, know a lot about politics and supported his agenda, but who he’s only known since he adopted that agenda when he first ran for president,” Coulter said.

“Or, he could hire people with no experience in politics because he’s known them a long time, because you know, then at least he’s going to get loyalty,” Coulter continued.
The conservative commentator went on to say that the president’s decisions to hire people who fit the latter description are hurting him.
“They know nothing about what they’re doing. There may be no wall [between Mexico and the U.S.] and the government may be blowing up every single day but at least he’ll have their loyalty. Nope! Doesn’t have their loyalty either,” Coulter said.
“How about hiring smart people trying to help you?” Coulter suggested, while also adding that she is “not bidding for a job” with the administration.
“How about [Secretary of State of Kansas] Kris Kobach, [journalist] Mickey Kaus [or political consultant] Pat Caddell?” Coulter went on to suggest.
“You name all the people who would have been so great in this White House and we would have a wall by now,” Coulter said. “But no, it has to be people from “The Apprentice’ and his kids.”
The conservative commentator’s remarks come as Trump and Manigault Newman fire allegations back and forth following Manigault Newman’s media tour to promote her new book, “Unhinged,” which calls the president a racist and an incompetent leader.
The president lashed out at Manigault Newman on Monday in a tweet calling her “Wacky.”
“Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will,” Trump said in reference to Manigault Newman’s appearances on his old reality television program.
The president again lashed out Tuesday morning, calling the former aide a “crying lowlife.”
“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!” Trump tweeted.
