A political convention has pulled conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos from the lineup after a fellow guest speaker canceled her appearance in protest.

Yiannopoulos, who was only identified as “Milo” in promotional material, was slated to appear at Politicon 2018 at the Los Angeles Convention center in October, the Daily Beast reported Thursday.

Social media was quick to condemn the convention for inviting the former Breitbart editor, who resigned after a video surfaced last year of him appearing to defend pedophilia.

Standup comic and activist Cameron Esposito, who was scheduled to also appear, announced on Twitter Wednesday that she was withdrawing in protest.

{mosads}Yiannopoulos’s website, however, continues to promote his appearance.

The site claimed as of late Friday morning that Yiannopoulos “will separately host an intimate private dinner the night of his Politicon speech. Tickets are on sale for both Politicon and the private dinner on September 5.”

Even after his name was scrubbed from the Politicon website, he told the Daily Beast in an email that he was still booked.

“No, none of that is true,” a Politicon spokesperson told the Daily Beast. “He is no longer booked for Politicon.”

“We’ve had a couple of changes and with two months to go to the convention, more names will be added and dropped. Anthony Scaramucci is also not attending due to a scheduling conflict,” the spokesperson continued.

It wasn’t until the Daily Beast published its story that Yiannopoulos reportedly learned he had been yanked from his convention appearance.

“This was news to us when your story came out,” he told the outlet. “They just got around to telling my booking agent. Oh well!”

The convention will feature a host of other conservative commentators, including Ben Shapiro, Ann Coulter and Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Other appearances will include former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), journalist April Ryan and Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.).
