Police arrest suspect in Wisconsin office shooting

An active shooter was reported at a Wisconsin office building Wednesday morning and arrested after shooting at least three people, according to authorities.

Local police said officers responded to a reported active shooter shortly after 11 a.m. local time at a building in Middleton, Wis., that houses Esker Software and WTS Paradigm.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also said its agents were responding.

The area lockdown was lifted about two hours later and police said a suspect was in custody. Local ABC station WKOW reported the suspect was shot by police.

Authorities later confirmed that the shooter had died.

Two local hospitals are treating five people related to the shooting, according to the local WISC-TV station, including three who were shot.
