Warren records video message for benefit concert for Tree of Life synagogue
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) condemned the “rise in anti-Semitism” in a pre-recorded video played Thursday at a benefit concert for Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue.
“We remember the 11 lives we lost two months ago, and we commit to honoring their memory. This tragedy was an attack on the Jewish community — not just in Pittsburgh, but all across our country,” Warren said, according to video posted to Twitter by Guardian correspondent Mike Elk.
“We’re going through a difficult time in our history right now, and we must continue to be vigilant and fierce against the rise in anti-Semitism,” Warren added.

A benefit concert for the Tree of Life synagogue was scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, according to WTAE, an ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh.
Eleven people died in October after a gunman stormed the synagogue and fired at those who were gathered there.
Warren also said in her video message that the danger of anti-Semitism “is real and tangible.”
“But we will not allow hatred to silence and divide us,” she added. “We must continue to come together, because an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.”
