Clinton on GOP promoting Trump ‘stronger together’ quote: Now copy my policies too

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accused the GOP and President Trump of copying her 2016 campaign slogan on Tuesday.

Clinton quoted a Monday night post from the GOP’s official Twitter account that featured the words “we’re only getting stronger together” superimposed on an image of Trump. Trump said the line during his rally Monday night in El Paso, Texas.

{mosads}The phrase “Stronger Together” was prominently used by Clinton during her 2016 presidential campaign.

“Now copy my plan on health care, a fairer tax system, and voting rights,” Clinton wrote Tuesday morning with a link to the “issues” page of her campaign website.

Many on social media pointed out that the slogan was first used by Clinton.

Clinton and her vice presidential choice, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), also released a book titled “Stronger Together” in the buildup to the 2016 election.

Trump beat Clinton in the 2016 election following a bitter campaign cycle.

In the months following her defeat, Clinton has used her platform to critique Trump and push back against some of Trump’s most notable policies, particularly speaking out against the family separation that took place at the U.S.-Mexico border when immigrants attempted to enter the country illegally.
