Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe on Tuesday confirmed that he has been interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller.

“The information I have, including the memos that I wrote, I’ve given all that to the special counsel team,” he said in an interview on “The View.” He declined to say whether the information he gave would help any potential impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

{mosads}McCabe served as acting FBI director after Trump fired then-Director James Comey in 2017. Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions (R) fired McCabe in 2018, shortly before he was scheduled to retire.

McCabe wrote a book about his time in the FBI under Trump called “The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump” which was released on Tuesday.

In the book and interviews preceding its release, McCabe has been critical of Trump. In the book, he accuses the president of acting like a mob boss and said he pursued a “relentless attack” on the FBI and Justice Department.

Mueller is investigating Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, including whether there was collaboration between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign.
