Florida teacher reassigned after identifying Trump as an ‘idiot’ on quiz question

A Florida teacher was reassigned after a quiz question identified President Trump as an “idiot.”

The quiz, given during a computer applications class at Watson B. Duncan Middle School in Palm Beach, contained a multiple-choice question that asked students to pick the person being described based on a series of words or phrases.

The phrases were: “45th Pres,” “2017,” “Republican,” “Real Estate businessman” and “Idiot,” with Trump, former Presidents Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter listed as the four possible answers.

A parent who said his daughter was in the class on Tuesday posted a photo of the question on Twitter, where it has since been shared thousands of times.{mosads}

“This was an actual question on my daughters middle school test today. Furious,” he wrote. “Going to raise some hell with the principle. Indoctrination will not continue. (See word “idiot” at the end of our presidents multiple choice answer). Not having it!”

The school’s principal, Phillip D’Amico, later released a statement to the school’s parents that said an investigation of the incident was underway and that the teacher had been reassigned, according to local news station WPBF.

“The question was inappropriate, and demonstrated an unacceptable lack of good judgment on the part of the teacher,” D’Amico wrote. “I apologize for this incident, and for the offensive verbiage used in the question.”

The district did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.
