Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised two former Trump administration officials who testified before House committees investigating President Trump as “gutsy women.”

Clinton, responding to a CNN analyst’s tweet about former ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and former presidential aide on European and Russian affairs Fiona Hill, wrote “Speaking of gutsy women.”

The initial tweet by Bianna Golodryga said, “Both Hill and Yovanovitch testified for 10+ hours. At a time when there seems to be fewer and fewer role models in public service, these 2 women are outliers. And tough.”

Yovanovitch and Hill have recently testified before three House committees that are leading the impeachment inquiry into President Trump over his dealings with Ukraine. {mosads}

Yovanovitch was serving as the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine until she was recalled in May. In a July 25 call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that is at the center of the impeachment inquiry, Trump called the former official “bad news.”

“The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that,” he said, according to a rough transcript of the call released by the White House.

Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton have recently published a book called “The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.”
