Impeach Trump billboard goes up in San Francisco
A billboard with the word “impeach” in all capital letters next to a picture of President Trump has gone up in the Fisherman’s Wharf area of San Francisco.
The billboard, which was paid for by progressive group Courage Campaign, went up Tuesday and will be in place through Oct. 21, according to KTVU.
{mosads}The billboard calling for impeachment located in largely liberal San Francisco comes as House Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry into Trump focused in part on his phone call with Ukraine’s leader.
Revelations that Trump pressured Ukraine’s president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, and his son sparked the inquiry. No evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the Bidens has emerged.
The billboard features a link to CouragetoImpeach.com, which features a petition for people to sign indicating they support impeaching Trump.
The billboard is funded through donations made by Californians who stand with the Courage Campaign, the news outlet noted.
A similar billboard paid for by the group that was displayed on the Bay Bridge in 2017 cost $1,500 a week.
The billboard is featured prominently in the area and is placed at the intersection of Mason and Jefferson streets.
