Former MLB player Aubrey Huff weighed in on the 2020 presidential race, saying he is teaching his children how to shoot guns in case President Trump loses his 2020 reelection bid to Democratic hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Huff in a tweet Tuesday, posted a picture of himself holding a gun range target riddled with bullet holes along with the caption describing how he was preparing for the “unlikely event” of a Sanders presidency.

{mosads}“Getting my boys trained up on how to use a gun in the unlikely event @BernieSanders beats @realDonaldTrump in 2020,” Huff wrote.

“In which case knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must. By the way most the head shots were theirs,” he added, tagging the National Rifle Association in the tweet.

Huff played in the MLB for 13 seasons and was part of the 2010 and 2012 San Francisco Giants teams that won the World Series. He has been an outspoken supporter of Trump through his Twitter account in recent years and was wearing a red, white and blue “45” shirt promoting a second term for Trump in the tweet.

Several prominent celebrities blasted Huff on Twitter for the remarks.

Huff’s post comes as several 2020 Democrats, including Sanders, have called for gun reform legislation to be implemented following the recent spate of mass shootings across the country.
