The nation’s debt is growing and the Trump tax cuts of 2017 are set to expire at the end of next year, setting up a series of tough decisions after the elections for the new Congress.
Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas.), the chair of the House Budget Committee, and Rep. Brandon Boyle (D-Pa.) the top Democrats on the panel, will be at the center of those decisions.
They’ll also be focused on legislation this summer and fall as Congress works to reach spending deals for the next fiscal year.
