In terms of searches, they were followed by the Women’s soccer world cup; the Area 51 raid and Copa America, a men’s soccer tournament.
The El Paso shooting and government shutdown also made the top ten list.
Overall searches in the U.S. this year were led by Disney Plus, a new streaming service; Cameron Boyce, an actor who died this year; and Nipsey Hussle, a rapper who was killed.
