Former first lady Michelle Obama has announced she is launching a new video series called “A Year of Firsts” highlighting the first year of college for four students.

“We’re teaming up with ATTN: to share the stories and experiences of four first-year college students from across the country,” Obama said in a video shared on the Instagram page of ATTN:, a digital media company that focuses on videos by millennials.

The students introduce themselves in the video as Regan Dunn, Haseeb, Linette Delgado and Robert Booker.

“Each of them has overcome tremendous odds to get where they are, and throughout the year, they’ll tell us what that first year of college is really like: the ups, the downs and everything in between,” Obama continued.

“By sharing their stories, they’re helping others see that the ups and downs of the first year of college are something everyone goes through — and they’re creating a supportive community for others facing similar challenges,” Obama said in a statement, Axios reported.

The videos will be shared through IGTV, and they will also be produced by Reach Higher, an initiative launched during her husband’s presidency “to help students get to and through college.”

The first video will be shared in mid-January, and the last will premiere in June, Axios reported.

The series will focus on a variety of issues impacting students during their first year at college, such as making new friends, college affordability and physical and mental health, according to Axios.

ATTN: previously partnered with former Vice President Joe Biden on a series before the 2018 midterms called “Here’s the Deal,” which focused on encouraging young Americans to vote and broached topics like health care, jobs and education.
