Hillary Clinton took to social media on Saturday, posting an image of herself wearing a mask with the word “VOTE” written across it.
“No makeup? No pantsuit? No problem,” the former Secretary of State tweeted. “I’ve got the must-have accessory for spring.”
Clinton’s post represents a call for U.S. citizens to remain cautious and wear masks when in public during the coronavirus outbreak, while also encouraging voters to find a way to cast their ballots safely.
“I’m wearing a mask (and voting!) for my country, my community, and my grandchildren,” she continued, adding that she is “#MaskingForAFriend.”
She tagged the Pandemic Action Network, an organization working to create policy and financing infrastructure for prevention and preparation for future pandemic outbreaks.
