Deer injures 3 protesters during New Jersey march
Three protesters were injured on Friday afternoon when a deer ran into the crowd marching along a highway in New Jersey, police said.
The South Brunswick Police said in a statement that the animal ran from the property of a local high school and rammed into a group of hundreds walking along Route 522.
The protesters were being escorted by officers who were able to provide aid until EMS arrived.
Two people were treated for their injuries on scene. A 69-year-old woman with a serious head injury was taken to the hospital and was in intensive care late Friday.

News outlet NJ.com reported that the three-mile South Brunswick March for Justice was organized by two high school alumni.
Peaceful protests and marches have been organized in cities across the world following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in Minneapolis police custody on Memorial Day.
