Idaho woman says garbage bag full of feces was left in her front yard, Biden flag torn down

An 82-year-old Idaho woman said her flag supporting President Biden was torn down and a garbage bag full of feces was left on her front yard this week.

Gloria Wurm of Hayden, Idaho, told local outlet Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls Press that she made the startling discovery on Tuesday morning after looking out her window.

She saw a black outdoor garbage bag sitting on her lawn and thought maybe it had been left by her yard maintenance man.

“But he always takes the garbage with him when he leaves, so maybe he was going to come back and do more,” Wurm told the outlet.

She went outside in her pajamas and discovered that the Hefty-sized bag contained maggot-infested feces, which had been dumped open and was seeping onto her grass.

Wurm also discovered that someone had torn down the large blue Biden campaign flag that she had hanging from her front porch.

“I’ve lived in this house for 17 years, and I never had a problem with nothing,” she said.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Ryan Higgins told the outlet that it is investigating the act of vandalism.

Wurm said the incident was discrimination against her political beliefs.

“You can’t even talk with civility to anyone anymore,” she said. “People are so hostile now.”

Hayden Mayor Steve Griffitts told the newspaper that he was repulsed by the incident.

“What she went through, no one — certainly no 82-year-old — should have to go through what she went through,” Griffitts said. “Our job is to take care of her as a community. This is the United States of America. This was an unacceptable act that will cause long-term ramifications.”
