Queen draws attention after seated alone at Prince Philip’s funeral due to COVID-19 restrictions

A picture of Queen Elizabeth II sitting alone at the funeral of her late husband, Prince Philip, has drawn attention, as COVID-19 restrictions did not allow anyone to be close to her.

Elizabeth and Philip were married for 73 years. Her four children and eight grandchildren were there but were not near her during the funeral.

Family members were allowed to sit with only those in their immediate households as a coronavirus precaution.

The funeral took place on Saturday after Philip died at the age of 99.

Prince Harry was also seen seated alone during the funeral, as Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, did not attend due to her pregnancy.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, was seen sitting a few chairs away from the queen as she mourned the death of her husband.
