Pence launches podcast with conservative group
Former Vice President Mike Pence launched a podcast Friday with an organization focused on young conservatives.
The podcast with Young America’s Foundation is titled “American Freedom.” The first episode, being released a day before the 20th anniversary of 9/11, is titled “20 Years Later, We Will Never Forget.”
“American Freedom will serve as an opportunity to highlight the unique and remarkable ways in which the next generation of conservative leaders are stepping up to promote traditional conservative values and reject the destructive ideals of the radical left that threaten America’s standing as the great in the world,” Pence said in a statement.
Pence has worked with Young America’s Foundation before, speaking at their student conferences while he was a House lawmaker and later as vice president.
“Vice President Mike Pence has always been a stalwart defender of individual freedom, traditional values, free markets, and limited government throughout his career of distinguished service to our country,” said former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), who is now president of Young America’s Foundation.
“A longtime friend of the Foundation, Vice President Pence is the perfect choice to directly address the rising generation about the ongoing threats.”
Pence has started making more media appearances almost eight months after leaving office. On Friday, he participated in his first national TV interview in nearly a year, telling “Fox & Friends” that President Biden’s new vaccine mandate measures were “unlike anything I have ever heard from an American president.”
