Former Rep. Bradley wins state Senate seat

Former Rep. Jeb Bradley has a new gig.

The New Hampshire Republican won a special election for an open state Senate seat Tuesday night, the Associated Press reports. While the official results have yet to be released, Bradley leads Democrat Willard Bud Martin by about 2,000 votes of the 9,700 votes cast in the low turnout election.

Bradley lost his 1st District congressional seat in 2006 to Democratic Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter. He ran against Shea-Porter again in 2008 and lost.
