Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for his former political aide Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia Democrat’s bid for governor.
McAuliffe annouced Wednesday via Twitter that Clinton, who he called the “last great jobs president,” would join him on the campaign trail Monday in Roanoke, Va.
McAuliffe tweeted:

The former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman and fundraiser for Clinton’s 1996 reelection campaign is locked in a three-way Democratic primary against state Sen. Creigh Deeds and former Attorney General candidate Brian Moran.
The winner of that campaign will face Republican Attorney General Bob McDonnell in this fall’s election.
