Lazio will host fete for Barney Frank
Former Rep. Rick Lazio (R-N.Y.) will head up a D.C. gala paying tribute to his onetime political adversary, House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.).
Lazio, now an executive at J.P. Morgan overseeing elements its real estate portfolio, will chair a June 3rd tribute to Frank, Newsday reported.
It will put Lazio, who is said to be mulling a run for governor in New York, in an awkward position of feting a former congressional opponent; both served on a housing subcommittee in Congress.
