It looks like yet another Republican is ready to challenge Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) next year. Businessman Jack Orchulli (R), the GOP nominee against Dodd in 2004, appears likely to jump in the race.
Orchulli lost to Dodd by a 66 pecent to 32 percent margin in 2004.
The businessman joins Republicans Rob Simmons and Sam Caligiuri in the race. Former ambassador Tom Foley is also considered a likely GOP candidate. Recent polling has shown those three leading Dodd head to head. It is worth noting that the 2010 Senate contest is still a long way away, though.
Roger Pearson is also reportedly considering challenging Dodd in the Democratic primary.
