Cook County Commisioner Mike Quigley will hit airwaves Tuesday with an ad in his bid for Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel’s former Illinois 5th District House seat.
The ad focusing on Quigley’s opposition to Cook Country board president Todd Stroger’s tax increases and highlights his endorements from the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. The ad will begin running on Tuesday on broadcast channels, according to the campaign. Quigley’s team has put a “six-figure” dollar amount behind the ad and its direct mail campaign.
The primary for the heavily Democratic district seat is set for March 3.
