Paterson Barely Leads Cuomo in Possible Primary Poll
New York Gov. David Paterson (D) has a razor-thin lead over New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (D) in a Siena poll of their potential 2010 gubernatorial primary.
Paterson gets 35 percent of the support of registered voters while Cuomo gets 33 percent. The difference is within the 3.9 percentage point margin of error.
Cuomo, however, fares better than Paterson against possible Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani. Cuomo would defeat Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, 48 percent to 39 percent. Paterson would beat Giuliani 44 percent to 42 percent.
