Rep. Virgil Goode’s (R-Va.) campaign said that it will seek a recount of results in his race against Democrat Tom Perriello, reports WCAV in Charlottesville.
Perriello’s 745-vote lead will be certified by the state Board of Elections Monday. The margin amounts to less than one quarter of 1 percent of the 316,679 ballots counted. Candidates within 0.5 percent of the leader can request a recount that will be paid for by the state and local governments.
