Bill Clinton to Stump for Martin in Ga. Runoff

Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Georgia’s Democratic Senate candidate Jim Martin on Wedneday.

The Martin campaign announced Sunday that Clinton will “appear together to tout Martin’s ability to work with President-elect Barack Obama to fix the economy and change the direction of the economy for middle-class Georgians.”

Martin is campaigning against GOP incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss in a run-off election scheduled for Dec. 2. Clinton already campaigned with Martin before the general election, as he did for unsuccessful Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford in Kentucky.

Martin said in a statement that he is “honored to have President Clinton join me in Georgia once again and proud to have the support of such a tireless advocate for the middle class.”
