When defeated Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin returned home to Alaska Wednesday, she was greeted by supporters chanting “2012! 2012!” reports the Associated Press.
The reference, of course, is to a possible Palin presidential bid. T-shirts touting the governor for president are also being sold in her home town of Wasilla.
When asked whether she would consider running for the White House in four years, Palin said, “We’ll what happens then.”
The AP also quoted anti-tax advocate Grover Norquist including Palin, 44, in a list of leading contenders for the GOP nomination. Other names Norquist mentioned were former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.).
