Nader to Attempt to Break Guinness World Record for Campaign Speeches

Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader will attempt to break the Guinness World Records benchmark for the most campaign speeches ever delivered in a 24-hour period.

Nader has scheduled 21 campaign events in Massachusetts this Saturday, a feverish swing through the Bay State that would place him well over the current world record of 15 speeches in a day.

Nader will address a separate issue in each ten-minute speech, his campaign says. He will travel a total of 365 miles and deliver over 315 minutes of speeches.

The Guinness World Records committee has given Nader the nod to go ahead with his attempt, according to a report by The Hartford Courant.

Nader’s attempt will take him through Boston, Cambridge, Belmont, Somerville, Medford, Arlington, Lexington, Concord, Waltham, Watertown, Newton, Worcester, Auburn, Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, Northampton, West Springfield, Westfield, Stockbridge, and Sheffield.
