Romney Not Interested in a Cabinet Post or Another Run
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) said he’s not interested in serving in a Cabinet or in another run for the White House, Hotline On Call reports.
“That is not an attractive position in my view,” Romney said Monday at the Republican convention when asked about a Cabinet post. “I’ve seen it too close-hand to think that’s something for me.”
He noted that his father, former Michigan Gov. George Romney (R), served as the Housing and Urban Development Secretary under President Nixon.
Romney also said he wasn’t looking ahead to another presidential bid.
“I do not anticipate doing it again. It’s hard to imagine doing that,” he said.
