First Exit Polls: Economy Is Top Issue By Large Margin
The first exit polls show that most voters thought that the economy was the most important issue of the election.
The economy was chosen by 62 percent of voters who filled out exit poll surveys after they cast ballots, according to CNN. Iraq received 10 percent and terrorism and healthcare both received 9 percent.
