Foley Won’t Face Charges

Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) will not face charges related to the congressional page scandal of 2006, in which Foley resigned from Congress after media outlets uncovered explicit messages Foley had sent to teenage congressional pages.

Law enforcement officials said Foley would likely face neither federal nor state charges, according to the Associated Press. Though some federal investigations have not been closed, the AP reports, results of a state investigation into the scandal will be announced today.
