NRCC launches ‘Boehner for Speaker’ website
The National Republican Congressional Committee appears to have settled on a new strategy: pitting House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) mano a, er, womano.
The NRCC launched a new website, BoehnerForSpeaker.com, on Wednesday evening. The site prominently displays “Boehner v. Pelosi” in a font that almost looks like an action movie poster.
The site also seeks contributions.
The tactic is undoubtedly the next stage in the NRCC’s efforts to target Pelosi but I believe it is the first time they have launched a campaign behind Boehner for speaker.
