Obama looking forward to working with Franken

The White House was quick to put out a release congratulating Democrat Al Franken after Republican Norm Coleman conceded the Minnesota Senate contest Thursday afternoon.

In the statement, President Obama focused on energy and healthcare reform – the two most pressing issues on the Democrat’s agenda.

“I look forward to working with Senator-elect Franken to build a new foundation for growth and prosperity by lowering health care costs and investing in the kind of clean energy jobs and industries that will help America lead in the 21st century,” Obama said.
