Obama’s auto community envoy to Mich. next week
The Obama administration’s Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers will travel to Michigan next week to meet with autoworkers, the White House announced Friday.
Dr. Ed Montgomery Grand Rapids, Flint, and Warren, Mich. next Thursday and Friday to meet with workers, local officials, and community leaders, the Obama administration said.
“The group will discuss ways to ensure that the full resources of the federal government are getting to the workers, the families, and communities that need it the most,” the White House release added.
Montgomery had been dean of the University of Maryland’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences before taking over as director of recovery.
